Subscriptions and billing
How plans, subscriptions, seats and payments work on the platform.

Plans and versions
Plans are published by the platform team with a defined pricing structure per term and currency. A published plan version cannot be silently changed — changes create a new version.
Subscriptions and their statuses
A subscription moves through clearly defined statuses: trialing (not yet paying), active (entitled to use the platform), past_due (a payment is outstanding), suspended, cancelled and expired. The dashboard shows the full status mix so you always know where each account stands.
Seats
Active subscriptions carry a seat count — the number of users entitled under that subscription. Seat tiers are part of the plan definition.
Payments and renewals
Payments are recorded against subscriptions with their own status (succeeded, failed, pending). Legacy white-label contracts are tracked separately with a renewal window, and contracts in that window are flagged for review before they lapse.
